What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and used by the site to improve the "user experience" when re-using the same site.

What do we use cookies for?

We use cookies not to track or identify individual users, but to obtain useful information about how the site is used and to be able to improve it for our users. Without the information we receive from the system using these cookies, we will not be able to provide some of the services we offer.

This site uses different types of cookies:

We use Google Analytics, a popular service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use the website. Shows the number of visitors and gives us information about their behavior, such as the duration of browsing the website, the average number of pages visited by a user and more.

Google Analytics is an easy-to-use tool that helps website owners analyze user interaction with the website content. When a user browses web pages, Google Analytics provides site owners with Java Script tags (libraries) to record information about a page seen by the user, such as the page URL. Java Script libraries use HTTP Cookies to "remember" what the user has done on the website's pages.

Important: Google Analytics does not store any personal information about website visitors.

Google Analytics supports two types of JavaScript libraries (tags) to measure site usage: analytics.js and ga.js. The following paragraphs describe how each of them uses cookies.

analytics.js The Java Script library uses cookies for unique users of the site (who visit the site more than once) and to measure requests to the site.

analytics.js uses the following cookies:

_ga with a validity period of 2 years - to identify unique users;
_gat with a validity period of 10 minutes - to measure requests to the website.

The ga.js Java Script library uses cookies to:

determining which domain to "measure";
unique users
measuring the requests to the website;
remembering the number and time of previous visits;
storing information about the source of traffic;
determining the beginning and end of a session;

Types of cookies used by the ga.js Java Script library:

__utma with a validity period of 2 years - used for unique users and sessions. The cookie is updated (including the expiration date) each time information is sent to Google Analytics;

__utmt with a validity period of 10 minutes - used to measure requests to the website;

__utmb valid for 30 minutes - used to define new sessions / visits. The cookie is updated (including the expiration date) each time information is sent to Google Analytics;

__utmz with a validity period of 6 months - saves information about how the user got to the website. The cookie is updated (including the expiration date) each time information is sent to Google Analytics;

Cookie control

You can control and delete cookies whenever you want. All newer versions of popular browsers offer users a level of cookie control. Users can set their browsers to accept or reject all or certain cookies. Browsers can also be set to alert you when a particular website uses cookies.
